  • Opening of ICCR's A2A Portal for the A.Y 2022-23 on 10 February 2022

    Due to some technical issues, the opening of ICCR's A2A Portal for the A.Y 2022-23, for admissions to Indian Universities under ICCR Scholarship Schemes,  has been delayed. 
    The technical issues have been resolved, and the A2A portal will open w.e.f. 10 February 2022.

  • Travel to India by Afghan nationals only on e-Visa

    In view of the prevailing security situation in Afghanistan, a separate sub-category of ‘e-Emergency X Misc. Visa’ has been introduced by the Govt of India for the Afghan nationals desiring to travel to India. All Afghan nationals henceforth must travel to India only on e-Visa.

    Keeping in view some reports that certain passports of Afghan nationals have been misplaced, previously issued visas to all Afghan nationals, who are presently not in India, stand invalidated with immediate effect. Afghan nationals wishing to travel to India may apply for e-Visa at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in

    It will be mandatory for such Afghan nationals coming to India on ‘e-Emergency X Misc Visa’ to register with the FRRO/FRO concerned within 7 days of arrival.

  • Revised instructions on OCI Services

    (1)The existing OCI card holder can update/upload the latest photograph and requisite documents about his latest passport, Change in address/Occupation/Contact details on:
    (a) Issuance of new Passport (each time a new passport is issued up to 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age)
    (b) Change in address/occupation/contact details.
    (2) Special permission by the OCI cardholders to undertake certain activities in India: A separate sub-portal under the name ‘Apply for Special Permission (Only for OCI cardholders)’ has been created in the online webportal https://ociservices.gov.in/welcome to facilitate the OCI Card holders in obtaining special permission to undertake certain activities in India.

    Please take precautions such as staying indoors to the extent possible, observing curfew timings, moving in groups, stocking up on food, water, candles and other essential commodities etc.
