  • Travel to India by Afghan nationals only on e-Visa

In view of the prevailing security situation in Afghanistan, a separate sub-category of ‘e-Emergency X Misc. Visa’ has been introduced by the Govt of India for the Afghan nationals desiring to travel to India. All Afghan nationals henceforth must travel to India only on e-Visa.

Keeping in view some reports that certain passports of Afghan nationals have been misplaced, previously issued visas to all Afghan nationals, who are presently not in India, stand invalidated with immediate effect. Afghan nationals wishing to travel to India may apply for e-Visa at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in

It will be mandatory for such Afghan nationals coming to India on ‘e-Emergency X Misc Visa’ to register with the FRRO/FRO concerned within 7 days of arrival.
