EXHIBITION OF INDIAN HANDICRAFTS

SEMINAR AND BUYER SELLER MEET

12^TH-13^TH NOVEMBER, 2013

On the occasion of an exclusive exhibition of Indian handicrafts with the participation of 32 manufacturers and artisans of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, EPCH, the Embassy of India is organizing a Buyer Seller Meet and exhibition of  India’s handicraft industry. The event will be held at Salon Montt, Hotel Crowne Plaza. The exhibition of handicrafts, home textile products, imitation jewellery and accessories will be open to the public on 12^th and 13^th November from 1000 to 1900 hrs.

Among the products to be exhibited are Scarves, Stoles and Shawls, Imitation Jewellery, Gift Items, Bags and Accessories, Home Textile Products, Wooden/Metal/Marble handicrafts, etc.

Indian handicrafts have a long history and tradition. They are handmade and they are used for daily needs; they are unique in style and utility. They are made on the basis of natural fibres (cotton, jute, coir, wool) or raw materials like wood, metal, bamboo, leather, stones). There is a variety of 800 products, styles and design to offer.

This ample and varied offer is the result of traditions, culture and religion being passed on from generation to generation. These are ethnic products in terms of base, colors and motifs, but they are contemporary in terms of use, presentation, design and quality.
